Well, this place has come back from the dead. I mean, when you're an Italian restaurant and the best item on your menu is a cheese steak sandwich, you know you're in trouble. Well, no longer. These guys have redone their menu, and now it's tough to pick a favorite, though I'd have to go with the sausage and mushroom appetizer. Fried artichokes were also delish. The margarita pizza was damn good -- you could tell the ingredients were fresh. I also had a pasta special that was to die for, though I wasn't as big a fan of the lasagna. The best part? They have happy hour every night 9 to 11 with half-priced drinks, apps, and two-topping personal pizzas. Can't beat that! So if you had written off Cugino's, you might want to stop back by.

Do you enjoy waiting? Would you love waiting over an hour (after being seated) for salad? Then this is the place for you. The restaurant was not busy, we were inexplicably left hanging. Service was a massive disappointment, our drinks were never refilled. Star justification: four and a half for the food, which was fairly tasty. -1 for our drinks and overall service. -.5 for allergens on the menu not being labeled (bruschetta is seriously cheesy). -1 for the wait after we were seated. Bottom line: order pick-up and skip the service. Skip the spaghetti, there's better marinara down the street.

Great pizza, with a flair of personal service. Quality products at reasonable prices. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Great service and great food! After one of the items on menu ended up being sold out, owner quickly came out to apologize. This act alone makes the new owners A+ in my book. Try the fried artichoke hearts if they have them that day. They were superb!

Dined here again with friends. Salmon dish was outstanding. Asked John, the owner, and said imported from Scotland where quality far higher than US farmed salmon. Wife had Godfather's seafood dish. Loaded with mix of seafood and very well seasoned. Too much to eat, so had rest boxed to take home. Service by Taze was flawless. Great meal!

Had dinner there last night. It's our understanding they have a new owner who just moved to Steamboat from NYC. His wife was the hostess and was lovely. Our server Carly was wonderful and attentive. We had muscles for an appetizer which were delicious. Each member of our party had a different pasta and all were very good. One had the eggplant parmesan. I would not recommend it as the eggplant was not peeled and was cut very thick. They need to work on this recipe. Other than that everything was very good. They brought a very nice desert which was complimentary. If you were there before they changed owner, I'd give it another try. The ambiance is nice with a big fireplace in the middle of the dining room. I hope these new owners make a go of this restaurant because it's in a nice location about a block off the main street in Steamboat. It looked like the patio would be nice in the summer.

Beautiful views from the patio (just ignore the cobwebs around the decking) but this place solidified that I am officially giving up on Spinach & Artichoke Dip. WHY is it always cheese-tacular with only a little spinach and even less artichoke? Places should call it was it is - Cheese dip. Then, I would certainly not order it as I would know what I was getting and really, if I wanted to dip stuff in cheese, I'd go to a fondue bar. To continue my rant against Spinach & Artichoke Dip, I'd like to point out that it is a super heavy app. I know this. That's why I love when it comes with veggies - nice counterpoint to the disgustingness that is the cheese. Here though, they serve it with bread. Talk about Ole Lead Belly...I would not recommend floating down the Yampa after this or you'd sink. Anyway, since that was all we ate, the beer was fine and the service was mediocre, I'd say this place is a-ok. Just come during happy hour and imbibe and don't eat the Spinach Artichoke Dip. The pizzas looked good.

Decent food, terrible service all around. We even ended up paying for a beer we never got

Stay away from this place!! The food is average minus, and overpriced. But the worst was the service, the waitress was extremely rude!!! We were surprised that someone like her is hired by the restaurant.

The other yelps were right on; decent food, bad service. We never got the garlic bread we ordered. I enjoyed the lasagna and the caesar salad was really good.

Tasty, reliable pasta, pizza, salads and kids menu. If you order an entree you'll get a massive dinner salad included. Good service. Great place to take the gang with plenty of seating. You can eat outside in the warmer months too, Great location. Overall you definitely get what you pay for and can take some home for later. Take a walk along the Yampa River on the bike path after you eat, it's just across the street.

DON'T DO IT! I have never written a negative review about a place but this "Italian restaurant" warrants one. The food was crap. Tasted like it came out of a box/can, not to mention was served to me within 5 minutes... hmm. The tortellini pasta was $18 and not worth a penny. The wine was not good either. I did not see my waitress until the bill came and when I told her that I was unenthused with my meal she said, "oh, I wish you would have told me sooner. What would you like instead?" I told her I didn't want anything and could she just make this meal worth my time? She said she would give me anything I want. I said she could comp my wine to make up for it, I mean, I did order the overpriced food so I'll pay for it (my bad!). She said no problem! Then the manager came out and questioned me about my issues. She said she was confused as to why I didn't say something sooner (hello, waitress... hello, hello helloooooo), made me feel like an idiot for complaining (which I never do), and only gave me 10% off. Before I had even paid she turned to the waitress and said, "I'll give you money for tonight..." I was so offended to be talked about like that. I would never support this business again not only because of the awful service, but because the food sucked too! Word of warning to you all... just go somewhere else! (Sweetwater Grill across the street is AWESOME... I ate there for lunch).

We had a nice lunch on the deck facing Howlsen Hill and the Yampa. The food is fine and they have Moretti on tap which was just what I needed after a great hike up Bear Creek trail.

I ate here with a very large group this past week. The service was very good, though the place was pretty empty, but the food was hit and miss. The calamari was very good, but the cheese bread and crustini were not so hot. The pizza was not very good, which is very rare for me to say, but the sandwiches a number of people in my party had were good. My wife's stomboli was also good. The prices are fair, and the happy hour drink specials are very good for a mountain town. All in all, not a bad place, especially if you have a restaurant.com certificate.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
